Billing and Insurance

To ensure your claims are submitted properly to your medical insurance plan(s):

bullet Check with your insurance carrier prior to your scheduled appointment to verify the physician is a preferred provider with your insurance plan.

bullet If the physician is a not preferred provider with your insurance plan, you may be required to pay the physician’s charges in full at the time of your visit.

bullet Take a copy of your valid medical insurance card to your doctor’s appointment.

bullet Notify the office staff of additional medical insurance plans you may have and have copies of those medical insurance cards available for the office staff.

bullet Notify the office staff of any change in your address.

Prior to your appointment, the office staff will verify your insurance. At the time of your appointment, the office staff will collect applicable co-payments, co-insurance and deductible amounts.

You can expect a bill from UT Physicians if you have a financial obligation after your insurance has paid your claim.
