Blanca Martinez, a native Houstonian, is a nurse practitioner who manages primary care for adult and pediatric patients.
Ms. Martinez, who is fluent in Spanish, provides wellness exams and sick visits. She also treats and manage acute and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, obesity, thyroid and hypertension.
She completed a master’s degree of science in nursing (with a focus in family medicine) from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She has been a health care provider for more than 20 years.
During her career, Ms. Martinez has been a respiratory therapist and worked as a nurse in neonatal and pediatric intensive care units.
Ms. Martinez is currently serving as an adjunct professor at Texas Woman’s University. She advises students during their clinical rotations.
In her spare time, Ms. Martinez enjoys spending time with family, traveling and leading a healthy and active life.
