Denise Hansen is a Physician Assistant in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). Her primary clinical interests include: orthopedic trauma, osteoporosis (bone health) treatment, malunion and nonunion fractures. She focuses on keeping her patients highly informed and involved in their care while focusing on being proactive with preventive medicine. She enjoys taking care of her patients and believes in providing compassionate care. Denise sees patients of all ages and also focuses on the bone health of the aging population.
Denise is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA). She is currently conducting research that is focused on osteoporosis in diabetics.
In her spare time, Denise enjoys gardening. She also provides a loving home to foster children.
