Denise Ramos, LCSW, has expertise in mental health, multicultural counseling and behavior modification. She has worked with adults, adolescents, children and youths detained in the juvenile justice center.
Ms. Ramos facilitates family, group and individual psychotherapy sessions. Service areas include assessment, diagnosis, treatment (including psychotherapy and counseling), consultation, evaluation, prevention of mental illness and emotional or behavioral disturbances. Ms. Ramos received extensive mental health training while working at the UTHealth Harris County Psychiatric Center as a social service clinician II.
She received her bachelor’s degree in social work with a minor in Spanish from Lamar University in 2008.
In 2012, she received her Master’s in social work from the University of Houston with a specialization in gerontology.
Ms. Ramos is currently working on her doctor of philosophy in social work-clinical expertise at Walden University.
Denise is a member of the National Association of Social Work.
