About

Jacob Worsham, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

Dr. Worsham earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Saint Louis University. He completed medical school at The University of Oklahoma. Dr. Worsham fulfilled his orthopedic surgery residency in Jacksonville, Florida.

While in Jacksonville he had the opportunity to train at the University of Florida, Mayo Clinic, and Nemours Children’s Clinic — all allowing him to be exposed to a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and treatment options in all age groups. Dr. Worsham then completed a dedicated sports medicine and arthroscopic fellowship at UTHealth Houston.

During this time he had extensive hands-on experience in sports medicine treating high school, collegiate and professional athletes including serving as assistant team physician for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, Houston Dynamo, and the University of Houston Cougars.

Dr. Worsham sees patients of all ages and enjoys taking care of all orthopedic conditions, from fractures to arthritis. He is happy to provide individualized treatment options and offers arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle.
