Dr. Jorge Quesada is an Associate Professor in the Division of Oncology at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).
Dr. Quesada is internationally recognized for his pioneering work in biological response modifiers. He is responsible for the discovery of the antileukemic activity of interferon alpha against hairy cell leukemia, a rare type of leukemia for which no other form of consistently effective treatment existed.
Dr. Quesada is a general oncologist with special interest in malignant melanoma, multiple myeloma and lung cancer. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
He is fluent in Spanish and active in the Hispanic community.
