Linda T. Li, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatric Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).
As a native Texan, she attended The University of Texas at Austin. She received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and went on to complete her internship and general surgery residency also at Baylor College of Medicine.
During residency, Dr. Li completed a research fellowship at the Houston VA Health Services Research and Development Center of Excellence where she investigated implementation strategies to improve the quality of patient care at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Hospital. She received several research awards, including an Advancing Clinical Excellence in Health Care Delivery System Trainee grant.
After residency, Dr. Li went on to complete her fellowship in pediatric surgery at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital-New York Presbyterian-Columbia University. Dr. Li’s research focuses on bioinformatics and improving quality of care.
