Phillip Williams, MD, specializes in sports medicine for individuals of all ages. His goal is to get patients back to doing what they love.
Dr. Williams, an assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, was an athlete in college and enjoys sports.
During his fellowship training, Dr. Williams provided care to several professional sports teams including the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Sparks and Los Angeles Galaxy. He was assistant team physician for Loyola Marymount University Athletics as well as numerous high school football teams. He has written numerous scientific articles and book chapters on various sports medicine conditions and his award-winning research has been presented throughout the country and internationally.
Dr. Williams is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society and the National Medical Association.
In his free time, Dr. Williams enjoys spending time with his family and listening to and collecting jazz records. He also plays the piano and saxophone. Dr. Williams enjoys hitting the greens for a round of golf as well.
