With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Purnima Hirudayaraj, is passionate about cardiovascular health. Her empathetic nature allows for the ideal patient and physician rapport by listening to patients’ concerns and being thorough in her diagnosis. She treats adults and seniors.
Dr. Hirudayaraj believes in a holistic, collaborative approach to cardiovascular care through preventative screenings, treatments based on appropriate scientific/medical guidelines, lifestyle modifications to reduce stress and working with behavioral therapists to raise a positive mindset.
Dr. Hirudayaraj is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, the American College of Cardiology and Women Faculty Forum at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.
In her spare time, Dr. Hirudayaraj enjoys writing poetry in both English and Tamil. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, sketching, biking, music and teaching Tamil.
