Tanyaradzwa M. Kajese, M.D., is a board certified, fellowship-trained bariatric and minimally invasive surgeon. She specializes in primary and revisional weight loss surgeries. She also performs laparoscopic and robotic general surgery, such anti-reflux surgeries, hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery and appendectomies. Dr. Kajese is also trained in advanced endoscopy.
Originally from Zimbabwe, Dr. Kajese received her B.A. from The University of Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine to earn her medical degree and complete her general surgery residency. While in training, she received numerous awards for her academics and teaching, and was elected the chief administrative resident.
Dr. Kajese was fellowship-trained under Dr. Robert Davis, Dr. Garth Davis and Dr. John Primomo at The Davis Clinic. She is an assistant professor of surgery with McGovern Medical School at UTHealth and the program director of the minimally invasive fellowship program.
Dr. Kajese is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life. She dedicates each day to that goal.
