Terrence Anderson, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Anderson completed his fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics and scoliosis surgery with an emphasis in the treatment of hip pain and injuries. His fellowship training and experience with hip arthroscopy while at Walter Reed Military Medical Center have shaped his subspecialized expertise and approach to hip preservation in children and young adults. When surgical treatment is needed, he is capable of employing either open or arthroscopic techniques to treat hip conditions including labral tears, femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), and hip dysplasia. He also specializes in scoliosis, fracture care, patellar instability, osteochondritis dissecans (OCD), and ACL ruptures.
Dr. Anderson received his undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, while becoming a team captain and All-American center on the football team. His experience at the elite level of athletics as a competitor gives him a unique perspective while treating young athletes.
He has served at both the Naval Hospital Guam and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as a member of the US Navy.
Dr. Anderson is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America.
Outside of the office, Dr. Anderson and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Missouri City with their two sons Kai and Blake. Together they enjoy exploring the Houston area, college football, and church activities in their free time.
