Wesley Jones, MD, is a dual fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with expertise in both cranial and spine surgery. He focuses on complex and minimally invasive spine surgery and endovascular surgery.
A native of the Greater Houston area, Dr. Jones received his medical degree at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed neurosurgical residency training at the Vivian L. Smith Department of Neurosurgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). Fellowship trained in two subspecialties, he completed a cerebrovascular and endovascular fellowship at UTHealth, and subsequently, a complex spine fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in the departments of Neurosurgery and Orthopedics. His diverse and extensive training allows him to treat patients with an array of innovative and traditional procedures best suited to their individual diagnoses and needs.
Dr. Jones’ research interests include cerebral vasospasm, traumatic vascular injuries, cerebral aneurysms, traumatic spine injuries and clinical outcomes. He is an author of peer-reviewed publications and has presented his research nationally. Dr. Jones is committed to excellence in patient care and education, as well as the education of future neurosurgeons. He takes pride in keeping patients, their families and referring providers updated throughout the treatment process.
