The Texas Medical Center will be hosting a career workshop for veterans and their spouses.

The Texas Medical Center will hold a workshop for military veterans Thursday, July 16 from 10:00 a.m. to noon to help connect them with potential employers. The event, Hiring Red, White & You!, will be held virtually to comply with COVID-19 precautions. Military spouses are also welcome to join.

“While we are unable to meet candidates in person, we are still able to host an online event that will help veteran job seekers adapt to an increasingly virtual job hunt,” said Colin Dunham, human resources reporting analyst with UTHealth. “This year there will be a focus on social media, virtual marketing tips, resume design, and online interview preparation.”

After the workshop, attendees will receive an email from each of the participating medical institutions with instructions on how to apply for job openings and connect with a recruiter. The goal is to allow recruiters to match veterans with opportunities that best fit their skills and experiences.
