UT Ophthalmology is a team of highly skilled eye care physicians who are committed to providing exceptional patient care and are able to treat patients with virtually any eye disorder. We offer a full range of services including routine eye examinations, the most advanced eye surgery and specialized ophthalmic testing. UT Ophthalmology sub-specialties include ophthalmic plastic, reconstructive and orbital surgery, corneal and external disease, glaucoma, retina and vitreous, pediatric ophthalmology, and neuro-ophthalmology.

All UT Ophthalmology physicians are faculty members in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science of The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. All are board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and are on the medical staffs of numerous facilities, most notably that of Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center Hospital.

The clinic is open from 8 to 5, Monday through Friday. There is a physician on call twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

In case of emergency, please call 911 or go immediately to the nearest hospital emergency room.

Insurance, Payment and Billing

We accept Medicare and Medicaid assignment, cash and participate in various insurance programs and managed care programs.

Nurse Line and Routine Requests

If you have an urgent need, please call 713-559-5200 and ask for a physician’s assistant. The assistant will handle your request immediately or if needed will relay the information to your physician.

Calls for routine requests are usually answered the same day.

Test Results

We will call you with test results if indicated. Most eye tests are interpreted on the day of your visit.

Prescriptions

For prescription refills, please call our office.

Referrals

Clinic staff will work with you and PCP to obtain necessary insurance referrals or authorizations.
