Orthopedic specialty care services expand to offer more locations in north Houston.

UT Physicians is expanding its orthopedic specialty care by adding three clinics in north Houston. Two of the clinics are located in Humble, a third in Kingwood.

With the addition of the new clinics, the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), has added new orthopedic surgeons to a team that leads education, research and clinical care in the region. Orthopedists, with specialized training, provide leading-edge techniques, procedures and minimally invasive surgical techniques with a patient-centered approach.

All five surgeons are affiliated with Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital.

“These additional physicians and clinics allows the department to provide exceptional musculoskeletal care to a much larger population,” said Kevin J. Coupe, M.D., assistant professor at McGovern Medical School and regional director for UTHealth orthopedics. “From sports medicine coverage of high school athletics, total joint reconstruction, non-operative care, fracture management, and subspecialty coverage, all the patients can now be served by an exceptional group of orthopedic surgeons.”

The orthopedics team in north Houston provides sports team coverage for Atascocita High School, Crosby High School, Humble High School, Huffman High School, Kingwood High School, Kingwood Park High School, New Caney High School, Porter High School, Splendora High School and Summer Creek High School.
