Multiple Sclerosis is an unpredictable disease and relapses are expected to occur occasionally. Contact us through the MyUTHealth Houston patient portal, if experiencing a relapse. Schedule an appointment for new or worsening symptoms occurring in less than 24 hours.

Please send a secure request through the MyUTHealth Houston patient portal, or you also have the option to call your pharmacy. Allow up to 2 business days to obtain approval and signature from your provider.

Lab orders are placed in the system, usually to CPL or Quest, unless you request a different lab. Results or most blood tests will be available in 2-3 business days. Reference or genetic lab results will take 2-4 weeks. Our office will call if there are abnormal results.

We are able to review imaging results online if they were performed at either Memorial Hermann or UTHealth Houston. If you had your imaging done at a different facility outside our system, please bring a disc with your images and a print copy of the results to your appointment.
After placing an order with a Memorial Hermann or UTHealth Houston facility, if you do not receive a call within two days, please call the number below.

For all orders that require a durable medical equipment (DME) company, we will provide you with a copy of the order. You will need to call your insurance company to see if there is coverage for your required item, such as wheelchair, powerchair, brace, hospital beds/lifts, etc. Once they advise you that it is a covered service, please ask them for names of a DME company in your area, then call the office to provide us with the information. Please be aware that many of these items are not covered by insurance, so it is important to complete these steps.
