Bobby R. Nix, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist treating patients 18 and older. He believes in educating his patients so they have a better understanding of their condition and treatment options. He works with patients on better managing their mental health.
He’s also an associate professor in the Louis A. Faillace, MD, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Nix is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians, the Houston Psychiatric Society, and more.
He received the McGovern Medical School Dean’s Teaching Excellence Awards for 2013, 2014, and 2015.
Outside of work, he enjoys working in his yard and spending time with his family.
