Deepa Iyengar, MD, MPH, is a clinical associate professor for the Department of Family and Community Medicine at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). Dr. Iyengar is also the Medical Director for UT Physicians Family Medicine at the Texas Medical Center and Bellaire. She is board certified in family medicine.
Dr. Iyengar sees patients of all ages. She focuses on providing care that is respectful of and responsive to the individual patient preferences, needs, and values while ensuring that patient values are represented in all clinical decisions.
Dr. Iyengar is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, Harris County Medical Society (HCMS) and Indian Doctors Association. While Dr. Iyengar is not caring for patients, she enjoys exercising and listening to music.
