Nicholas Rossi, MD, is an assistant professor and Pediatric Otolaryngologist in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at UTHealth Houston. A native Houstonian and graduate of St. Thomas High School, Dr. Rossi went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with High Honors from The University of Texas at Austin. He received his medical degree with honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he also completed his residency in Otolaryngology. He then completed fellowship training in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
During residency, Dr. Rossi authored or co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and presented over 30 poster and oral presentations at regional, national, and international meetings. He has also served as a member of the editorial board for Translational Pediatrics since residency. His clinical interests include pediatric sleep apnea, noisy breathing in infants and children, pediatric recurrent and chronic sinusitis, pediatric neck masses, recurring ear infections, pediatric hearing loss, and minimally invasive approaches such as endoscopic sinus surgery and endoscopic tympanoplasty. His research interests include outcomes and safety in adenotonsillectomy for obstructive sleep apnea, perioperative management of children with OSA, and the ways in which emerging technologies—particularly advancements in artificial intelligence and the evolving influence of social media—intersect with and advance the field of Pediatric Otolaryngology.
Dr. Rossi is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Association. He is dedicated to providing excellent, compassionate care to children and families while contributing to the continued growth of Pediatric Otolaryngology services in the Houston community. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, working out, fishing, and cheering on Houston sports teams and the Texas Longhorns.
