Omar E. Sandoval, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner for the UT Physicians Family Practice at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). He has 18 years of nursing experience with a background in critical care, home health, surgery, and ambulatory care. Mr. Sandoval is excited to showcase his expertise as a nurse practitioner while treating teens, adults, and seniors.
Mr. Sandoval wants to make sure care includes collaboration. His duty is to serve and guide people through periods of wellness and illness. He enjoys problem solving and finding the root cause for issues. Mr. Sandoval’s areas of interest include LGBTQIA+ care, diabetes, thyroid, hypertension, preventive care, and health coaching. Mr. Sandoval is a member of the GLMA Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ Equality national organization. He truly cares about every individual he encounters and his goal is for the absolute best outcome, whatever the circumstances. Mr. Sandoval hopes to empower all of his patients with the knowledge and skills they need to maintain longevity and harmony in their lives.
His favorite activities include cooking, reading, listening to music, movies, and lifelong learning.
