I had to fish for information and ask all the questions myself. I asked to see MRI images with the doctor to explain with those visuals and he had me read a line of the radiology report. I had to ask him what it meant and he completely disregarded the rest of the information on the report and I feel very uninformed about the general health of my joint. He didn't tell me what to do. He provided me with a packet of PT exercises and I had to ask him how long do I need to rest. Being [...], I am very unhappy with my visit. He spent maybe 5 minutes with me and seemed rush and didn't seem to take me seriously even when I was showing so much concern.

So deeply thankful for Dr. Shani and staff to fit me in on short notice despite his ultra-busy schedule. After I arrived, they let me know he was still in surgery and even apologized for his being late. I told them I was just grateful he could squeeze me in due to my Flexible Spending Account deadline. I could have gone with another doctor but I trust Dr. Shani.
03/14/20
I always ask for a female doctor. in this case there was none. I'm quite please with Dr. Raj Shani. I asked for him to look at my other knee while I was their because it bothers me once or twice a week with a little snag catch kind of pain and he didn't hesitate to look at x-ray for it. My initial problem has been [...] [...] which gives daily discomfort and frequent pain. He asked a ton of questions and he came up with a treatment plan that included an injection, some physical therapy I can do at home, and he even printed out a diet for [...], provided a copy of MRI report, and the physical therapy. I can't describe how it feels to know that it could be [...] or [...] [...] causing me the main painful problems all these years, and that these are treatable. As he said, it's good news. Dr. Shani and staff have given me the tools to work with these two likely outcomes so that my [...] [...] will stop determining how I live and exercise.
03/13/20
No physical assessment was done, always in a hurry, no empathy at all.
03/12/20
Would surely recommend Dr. Shani to others.
