The care and dedication Dr. Prakash brings to his practice is so good, that sometimes I feel guilty-mostly about [...] him on the weekends or at odd hours, because I've learned he'll read and consider my messages carefully at that very moment, when maybe I was just trying to convey the symptom while it was fresh in my mind, or while I had a rare moment away from family to write. I've learned to begin less urgent messages with disclaimers-because when I need him I really need him. The zeal he brings to his research is infectious; his fascination with the scientific aspects of my condition are no less than what is demanded of someone ably treating my disorder; however, he brings a degree of kindness, humor and unique perspective that make discussions that would otherwise be weighty, ominous affairs into something joyful and collaborative. He has a rigor about his thinking that is rare, and a willingness to be open with it that is rarer still. We are so lucky to have a talent like Dr. Prakash's and a friend like him in medical practice.
