Angie L. Curtis, MD, is board-certified in pediatrics and sports medicine. She also has a master’s in physical therapy, which gives her a unique perspective on injury evaluation, prevention, and treatment. Her focus is the management of acute injuries, overuse injuries, fractures, concussions, and other sports-related issues common to athletes as well as active children, teens, and young adults.
Curtis is an assistant professor in the Division of Community and General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She was the first pediatric primary care sports medicine doctor employed at UTHealth Houston and has been instrumental in providing new teaching opportunities and experiences for medical students, residents, and fellows.
Curtis is a member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, working out, and spending time with her family.
