Elsa Rodarte Rascon, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurologist and movement disorder specialist who diagnoses and treats neurological conditions in teens and adults.
She’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Rodarte Rascon earned her medical degree in 2012 from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education’s Ignacio A. Santos School of Medicine. She completed two research fellowships in immunobiology and optogenetics at McGovern Medical School.
She’s a member of the Society for Neuroscience, the Cajal Club, the Functional Neurological Disorder Society, the Movement Disorders Society, the Texas Neurological Society, the American Academy of Neurology, and the North American Neuromodulation Society.
Outside of work, Rodarte Rascon enjoys spending time with her family, reading, art, team sports, and hiking.
