Felicia V. LeMoine, MD, is a fetal intervention fellow in the Division of Fetal Intervention and a clinical instructor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She also serves as an attending physician at Memorial Hermann–Texas Medical Center.
LeMoine earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans School of Medicine before completing residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at LSU/Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, where she served as chief resident. She went on to complete a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at The MetroHealth System/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by advanced fellowship training in fetal intervention at UTHealth Houston.
She specializes in caring for high-risk pregnancies and offers expertise in fetal therapy. Her work also focuses on conditions such as abnormal placentation, congenital anomalies, twin complications, and preterm births. LeMoine has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and invited reviews, with work appearing in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Journal of Perinatal Medicine, Journal of Clinical Ultrasound, Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology, Women’s Health Reports, and Best Practice & Research Clinical Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Her research has contributed to advancing knowledge in areas such as neonatal survivability following previable preterm rupture of membranes, outcomes in fetal growth restriction, autoimmune conditions, and recurrent pregnancy loss, as well as management of complex fetal anomalies, including congenital diaphragmatic hernia and large placental chorioangiomas.
LeMoine’s scholarly activity includes more than a dozen national and international presentations at leading scientific meetings, including the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society for Reproductive Investigation, and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has received recognition for her research with the ACOG Blue Ribbon Award (2024), a Cleveland Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists research grant, and the Foundation for SMFM Garite Mini-Sabbatical Grant.
In addition to her research and clinical work, LeMoine is committed to education and mentorship, teaching medical students and residents on topics ranging from maternal medical complications to fetal growth restriction, and mentoring trainees in multicenter studies and perinatal research.
