Holly D. Bauser-Heaton, MD, PhD, FSCAI, FACC, is a nationally recognized physician-scientist and leader in pediatric cardiology. Bauser-Heaton currently serves as professor and chief of pediatric cardiology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and executive co-director of the UTHealth Houston Children’s Heart Institute. She holds the prestigious John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Distinguished Chair.
As a nationally recognized pediatric cardiologist, Holly D. Bauser-Heaton, MD, PhD, built a career treating children with complex heart conditions. But after she was rushed into emergency surgery with end-stage heart failure, she gained a new perspective on how to deliver care.
