Joy Ashby Cornthwaite, MS, RD, LD, CDE, is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator with expertise in medical nutrition therapy, diabetes nutrition, and wellness program education. She views her role as an opportunity to empower patients and support them as they embrace a life of wellness and health. She encourages changing lives one meal at a time and enjoys the impact this can have on wellness and treating and preventing chronic diseases, especially diabetes.
Cornthwaite’s work includes developing and presenting programs in adult obesity, childhood obesity, and diabetes self-management. She was a core member of the inaugural group of Canyon Ranch Institute’s Savannah Life Enhancement Program.
She earned her master’s in clinical nutrition at Florida State University and is certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
