Klara Sputova, MD, MPH, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained plastic surgeon with expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Her areas of focus are breast cancer reconstruction, restoring the shape and appearance of the breast after a mastectomy, and other breast-related surgeries. She is skilled in microvascular autologous breast reconstruction. Sputova also performs autologous tissue reconstruction (flap procedures), implant-based reconstruction (silicone and saline implants), oncoplastic reconstruction, combination (hybrid) procedures, and nipple and areola reconstruction.
She’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Outside of work, Sputova enjoys travel, water sports, and adventures with her sweet-yet-high-energy dog, Bella.
