Rehal Bhojani, MD, provides highly personalized and full-spectrum care to all his patients, age 6 years and older for family medicine and sports medicine. He offers a wide variety of services including concussion management, exercise prescription, chronic medical disease management, health maintenance and preventive medicine, non-operative musculoskeletal of injuries, and injury prevention.
Dr. Bhojani is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). In addition, he serves as the program director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at UTHealth, and the medical director of Master of Athletic Training program at the University of Houston.
Dr. Bhojani is a primary care sports medicine physician who is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Bhojani received his Bachelors of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from The University of Texas at Dallas. He earned his Doctor of Medicine with Distinction in Research from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Bhojani then went on to complete his internship and residency training at the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Houston, Texas where he also served as chief resident. He underwent his fellowship training in primary care sports medicine at Henry Ford Hospital System in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Bhojani serves as chief medical officer of the Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash, team physician for the Houston Rockets, medical director for the Sugar Land Skeeters, team physician for the University of Houston, and team physician for East Bernard High School. He also oversees sports medicine outreach for the Memorial Hermann Hospital System.
Dr. Bhojani is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Teachers in Family Medicine, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, Harris County Academy of Family Physicians, American Association of Physician Leadership, and Professional Soccer Physicians’ Society.
