Sukhdeep Basra, MD, is an assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He is a skilled interventional cardiologist with focuses on structural heart interventions, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, transcatheter mitral valve repair, left atrial appendage occlusion for atrial fibrillation and percutaneous closure of atrial septal defect, among other procedures.
Dr. Basra has received numerous awards and has been published in Circulation, Journal of American College of Cardiology, International Journal of Cardiology and the American Journal of Cardiology.
He also serves on several American College of Cardiology committees and is a reviewer for cardiology journals.
Dr. Basra has lived in Houston for the more than a decade and loves the city.
When he isn’t seeing patients, he enjoys cooking with his wife, travelling, photography and music.
