Thomas R. Newton Jr., MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained colorectal surgeon treating male and female patients 16 years and older. He enjoys the opportunity to diagnose, treat, and discuss complex problems with his patients, understanding that these issues are often awkward or embarrassing for the patient and/or family to discuss. He takes pride in treating each patient in a respectful manner.
He’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Newton is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Texas Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
He has two beautiful teenage daughters who are excellent students and competitive swimmers. Outside of work, Newton enjoys talking sports with patients and anyone else who will participate.
