Located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, the Dan L Duncan Children’s Neurodevelopmental Clinic at the Children’s Learning Institute provides compassionate, comprehensive care for children with developmental, behavioral, and learning challenges. Our team specializes in evidence-based evaluations and personalized care plans that support the unique strengths, challenges, and goals of each child and family.
We care for children with:

- Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Anxiety and behavioral concerns
- Learning disabilities and intellectual disabilities

The clinic is home to a multidisciplinary team that includes developmental pediatricians, pediatric neurologists, child and adolescent psychologists, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, and licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs). Working together, we focus not just on diagnosis, but on building collaborative care plans that support function, independence, and long-term well-being.
Family involvement is a cornerstone of our approach. We work closely with parents and caregivers to identify functional goals, coordinate care, and ensure that treatment plans are practical, personalized, and grounded in the latest research. What to Know Before Your Visit
- Waitlist notice: Our current waitlist for new patients can range from 6 months to 1 year. Once a referral is placed, please call our clinic to let us know whether you’d like to be added to the
- Prepare in advance: To avoid delays when scheduling your child’s appointment, please gather and send the following documents while you’re on the waitlist:
- Previous school evaluations
- Assessment reports (psychological, developmental, etc.)
- Therapy records (speech, occupational, physical, ABA, etc.)
- Relevant medical records and physical exam notes
- Appointment length: Depending on your child’s needs, the initial appointment may last between 1 and 6 hours.
- Age range: We care for patients from birth through age 18.
- Medicaid and other insurance plans are accepted.
- Arrival instructions: Patients will check in at the security desk on the first floor, then take the elevators to the 19th floor. Parking is not validated.

Parking Information
- The parking garage entry is located on Fannin at Pressler within the University Center Tower (UCT) Building. On Fannin, once you pass Pressler, enter the garage at the second entrance labeled Public and Contract Parking.
- Proceed to the entry gates and press the button for a parking ticket. Take a ticket and park anywhere on floors 2-5.
- Take the elevator to the first floor, check in with security, then take another set of elevators to the 19th floor.
