Dr. Ian Butler is a Professor at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).
Board certified in psychiatry and neurology, Dr. Butler treats patients from birth to 25 years old.
He is widely published and has been invited to presented lectures and participate in symposia at regional, national and international medical conferences.
Dr. Butler is a member of the Board of Governors of the Center for the Retarded, Inc., and currently chairs the Center’s Professional Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the Tourette Syndrome Association of Greater Houston’s Medical Advisory Board and serves on the editorial boards of several professional journals. He has been listed repeatedly by Woodward and White as one of The Best Doctors in America, most recently in 2014, and was named one of Houston’s Best Doctors by Houstonia magazine in 2013.
A resident of Houston, Dr. Butler is married and the father of three children. In his leisure time, he enjoys music and reading.
