Why should I see an audiologist?

Audiologists are specialized health care professionals who treat individuals with hearing loss or balance disorders. Because hearing loss is usually gradual, it can be hard to determine whether you have difficulty hearing. If you often ask people to repeat themselves, have trouble following conversations with multiple people, or have difficulty hearing in crowded places, you may have some level of hearing loss. You might benefit from hearing aids or other treatments and should consider seeing an audiologist.

Besides having difficulty hearing, there are other symptoms to be aware of. If you often have a ringing in your ear or have bouts of vertigo, dizziness, or nausea, you should consider seeing an audiologist. These could be tinnitus symptoms or a balance disorder, which an audiologist can help treat.

Our clinic provides services to detect these changes early, help prevent further damage, and recommend devices to manage the effects on your daily life.
